A third‑generation Idaho native, Brenda H. Quick, grew up attending public schools across the state and learning the values that define Idaho: hard work, personal responsibility, and a deep commitment to community. As a single mother to one amazing son — an Eagle Scout — she understands firsthand the challenges and opportunities facing Idaho families today. She loves the outdoors, enjoys boating, and rarely passes up a chance to spend time with her dogs exploring the open spaces that make Idaho home.
Brenda put herself through college while having a young child to raise on her own. She has earned undergraduate degrees in Sociology and Speech Communication from the University of Washington in Seattle, followed by a Master of Public Administration and a Juris Doctor from the University of Idaho. This strong academic foundation shaped her understanding of community dynamics, effective communication, and the policy and legal frameworks that guide state government. For the past 20 years, she has built a respected career as a versatile, driven attorney in Idaho. Her experience spans civil and criminal litigation, family law, immigration matters, commercial leasing, contract negotiation, and complex legal analysis. As Managing Partner at Quick Ankrum Law, PLLC, she represents Idaho families in some of their most difficult moments — from custody disputes and domestic violence cases, guardian and conservatorships for elderly citizens and children to adoption and Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS) matters. She is known for her thorough preparation, strong advocacy, and unwavering dedication to achieving fair, just outcomes. She has led teams, mentored new attorneys, managed heavy caseloads, and successfully litigated hundreds of cases throughout her career.
Service to others has always been central to Brenda's life. She participated in the Walk-a-Thons as a teenager, participated in Brownies and Girl Scouting, and has volunteered for years with Boy Scouting, supporting youth leadership programs and proudly watching her son achieve the rank of Eagle Scout. In addition to her pro bono service as an attorney, Brenda has participated in community programs by raking lawns and delivering food to our elderly citizens, supported her son's troops in Scouting by assisting in the set up public events in the local parks, and collecting food donations for local pantries.
Her other charitable work includes having served on the Board of Directors for the Edward and Shirley Bews Foundation, and with Season to Soar, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering youth and underserved communities through leadership development and global engagement. She has also donated her time to the Idaho Law Foundation, providing pro bono legal services to Idaho veterans who deserve strong advocacy and support. Brenda has also participated with Allona's Angels, a local group whose goal is to provide gifts for elderly patients in memory care units. Brenda donates her time wrapping gifts, and in 2025 provided over 100 stuffed Christmas stockings for the patients living in nursing homes.
Her campaign for the Idaho State Senate is grounded in three core priorities: strengthening government accountability, expanding educational opportunities for Idaho’s youth, and supporting the growth of local businesses. With two decades of experience navigating complex legal systems and participating in mediation and negotiations, she believes Idahoans deserve transparent, responsible leadership that works for the people.
As a product of Idaho’s public schools and a mother who has guided her own child through them, she is committed to ensuring every student has access to high‑quality education and pathways to success. And with a deep appreciation for the small businesses that form the backbone of Idaho’s economy, she is dedicated to expanding opportunity, reducing barriers, and helping local entrepreneurs thrive.
Rooted in Idaho’s past and committed to its future, Brenda H. Quick is ready to bring her experience, integrity, skills and dedication to the State Senate — working every day to ensure Idaho remains a place where families can succeed, businesses can grow, and communities can flourish.
